What I like and will do to my 40 is a line lock. I helped Larry install it on his 40 before we went to SCC two years ago. It's easy and not to pricey. And it works great. All you do is tap into your brake line and install a small shutoff valve. When you press the brake you close the valve and your brakes stay locked in. to release just open the valve. easy cheesy
Those with a good ebrake you don't need it but the ebrake on my 40 won't hold me on a vertical slope where this does.
Is that normal? I use my hand brake on my old BJ-40 on steep mountains and it works just fine.
The valve idea is awesome. I hate having to pull my hand brake while trying to keep from going back wards. I usually let off the clutch and then take off the hand brake all while pinching my finger in between the shaft of the hand brake and my dash.![]()
