its not the seals its the actual vent that's leaking, is it still the same thing?

Right, I'd take it off and blow it out or replace it and run you a vent higher up to the frame for those water crossings.

Paul I got your VM and will call you on the sprint home. Thanks. :)

I'ven been trying to get the 80 trip worthy before the christmas trip. Last week I had it across the st I ordered all the exhaust gaskets from Musson for the manifolds back and with no time on my hands to do it myself I let Midas accross the St do all but the manifold gaskets. Now it seems restricted like its a bit clogged up and they think the cats are bad and the engine code I'm fighting could points that direction as well. My question is can I go catless on the 80 or will the ECU freak out? The exhaust is the factory stuff minus the resonator I removed and the tail pipe from the muffler back. I had to trick the Evo I use to race by welding a bung and putting a spark plug non-fouler in place then the O2 so it did measure the exhaust gas but not in the volume of being screwed right into the pipe. I'm headed to the 80 tech to see if anyone has gotten creative over there. I hate cats.

I think I have the same problem.

Sorry to hear bud, I'll let you know what my fix is. So far 2 new OEM O2 sensors, all new gaskets and I'm still getting the P0420 and its runnng worse like its stuffed up now. Gotta be cats or broken chamber in the muffler.

my 93 had four o2 sensors. not sure on your truck might be worth ck'n into. i would imagine that the cats are cruddy. i had changed mine out for a high flow and loved the responsiveness of the engine.

ok thanks will do

After getting the OEM prices for Paul $500 for both I decided to go with the Midas touch. They were going to see if they could cut out the 2 and put one big one but it was to much so they put me two hi flow cats in place about the same size. So far so good and breathing much better. No change in sound so that was important with the trip next week I don't want any resonating in the cabin. Also the engine light has not reappeared. 2 new OEM sensors, OEM gaskets and 2 new high flow cats later it seems good. :)

Sweet. Mine doesn't run bad but has a very slight miss every 10 seconds or so at idle when warm and throws a rich code. Paul said probably O2's or cats. Looks like I will be following your path. What exact cats did you get?

The 80 all the way to Tennessee? I'm glad things are shaping up mechanically.

Planning to take the 80 if the wife can live with it. More room and fun for hunting snow and trails when we get up there :D Gas prices are right for a road trip :)

Magnaflow 2.5's :)

So, apparently my LC is still more advanced than I previously realized. Today while I was driving back up to North Louisiana, I noticed two buttons by the rear diff lock. "Rear vent". I pressed them and the rear quarter windows opened. I had been manhandling them nearly to the point of breaking off the latches thinking they were like the rear windows on my old pickup.

Fancy.

  the crappy Expedition we had did the same.

i would like to know if anybody has flipped their leaf springs on the front axle of a 75 or similar fj 40 because the way the chunk is, it seems a little awkward for it to sit right down on the axle because of the way the leaf spring is

curious T

does anyone konw what ring and pinon the t100 axles use, wither they are the same as the pickup axles.

p.s. of course im only talking about the rear axles since t100s dont have front solid axles.

I think they use the V6 8" axles on the T100 it was basically just the V6 truck/4-Runner drivetrain.

The IFS vehicles all have the 3'' wider axle compared to the solid axle minis. The V-6 and turbos have larger gears and pinions, which means Davin you already have the larger gears and wider axle for minis. You can check the FAQ's to make sure.
