I have finally been struck with the famous 83 84 85 codes.

I have a 1993 FZJ80G 1fz-fe (Japan) Production date 04/93
Now the ECM is different to the American models (89661-60170), My Japan (89661-60160). Now before I went out and dropped a bomb on a ECM. Me and my mate both have 93 cruisers and I decided we would try swap ECMs first to see if my issue is still gonna stay around or not. (Same Part Numbers for ECM), and after having these swapped for about a week. I still have my issue and his rig perfectly fine?

So to that conclusion my ECM should be fine. Its running perfectly fine in another rig. I have been looking at the FSM for the 93/94 Cruisers which is for the American market I believe.

ESA1 ESA2 ESA3 All directing go to the ECM. and from What I read that the ECM and TCM were together. However I have today discovered a ECT Module hiding all the way up behind the steering wheel (Right hand drive). Could this be a issue that I should be looking into?

Timing set at 3 degress
TPS in spec
VAF in spec
IAC in spec
kickdown cable pretty good.

I had noticed some black electrical tape (I think) On the connector to the ECT. Worth troubleshooting?
