Tasty Quail Recipes??? Post them up..

I broke up the 22 into teryaki, spicy bbq, dales, cajun and plain seasoning before freezing. I should add another s*** load of the little bastards to my collection today. wish me luck.
 
I used to hunt quail in Northern California where there were tons of blackberry brambles. I'd shoot birds, pick berries and take them home and breast out the birds (there's not much on the rest of the bird). I'd cook the birds in butter, make a glaze with blackberry jam (reduced in the pan with the butter and drippings from the quail) and then garnish with the fresh blackberries. Serve them on a bed of cous-cous with the glaze spooned over the top.

Alot of the other recipes seem to cover the flavor with spices or sauces and I don't think that's necessary at all. Small birds, but delicious.....
 
booze in marinades rock....Jack brings a great flavor to poultry....

Im not wasting single barrel on marinade...

they tasted just fine off the grill. 1/2 done up with a spicy cajun style seasoning, the other half was teryaki... tasty.
