I'm bringing the spotter in my Avatar

<-----

Yea, I'll bet he gets muddy too. The wife on the other hand, maybe not so much. Her boots will probably be about it unless I take the top off (the 40 that is) and sling some mud...

What are the camping accomodations like guys? Electricity at an old Rock Quarry huh? Sounds cool enough. Anyone gonna have a coffee pot going in the mornings? If packman is bringing home brew, we're gonna need some java! ;)

I have a small coffee pot...about 4-6 small cups worth...hopefully someone else will be brewing some as well.

The camping area is a big open field, relatively flat.

Saturday night is the FJ Trail Team BBQ, followed by the raffle, then social time and a big ol' fire. Course, nobody's gonna tell you that you can have fun on friday night either...

Actually, it doesn't matter what size of tire is Larry, what's important is the size of the 'nad. And I've seen you drive Larry, I know you are hidin' some fair sized walnuts somewhere!
Here's some vids from last weekend so you can see what it's likely to be like.
There's still some mud if you want~

and of course, the creek is always wet.

But most of the place is dry as you can see here...

Still, that's not to say mud fun can't be had...

I don't normally try to follow the buggies, I'm usually a mild wheeler tho my rig can handle more than I'm accustomed to throwing at it. So, I'll be hanging with you guys for part of the time and then I might tag along with guys like this, tho not exactly like this.,..

I promise the rain will stay away...from under the registration tent... Yeah unfortunately, we all don't have big huge mud tires and a vehicle that isn't used as a daily driver... I guess we get what we get and have as much fun as we can regardless of the weather. I'll bring a couple decks of cards...

It's raining here in Des Moines but radar shows that Hamilton\Lovila aren't getting diddly.

Actually, it's a pretty good rain here and my garden is happier for it.

Hey Dingman, thanks for all the work you do posting videos. You are a credit to any club you belong to. Looks like the rain is over (4:00 am now). I am shooting for 10:00 to get there.
Larry

4:25 now and yeah, rain looks to be done. Good thing too, looks like I had a gutter failure and I have alot of water in the basement.

I have about 4 hours of work (real work, for my company) tomorrow and I might have to clean up the basement somewhat.

I'm not sure when I'll be there. Tried getting all of tomorrow off from work, couldn't do it.

Hey you! You're trying to butter me up so you can talk me into driving into the really deep holes!

Thanks Larry.

Awesome event

To all of you who worked so hard on this event, a BIG THANK YOU.:beer::beer: It totally rocked. I know that there were several of us that were first time wheelers and you all made us feel welcome and really helped us see what our trucks could do. My dad videoed some of the event and is working on getting the shots that turned out put together for any one who was there that wants a copy. (Sorry, its not in digital form.) If someone would like to digitize it that would be great. Thanks again. Doc, your 80 rocks. :D
