I'm going to try to make it for the LAST TIME :frown:

...My time in Great Lakes is over, and we're moving back to San Diego September 1st.

I'm going to plan on and really try to make it to Tall Corn, but I am 90% certain that I'm going to TTORA TakeOver in Kentucky, so we'll have to see how it looks as it gets closer with regards to budgeting. I doubt fuel is going to get any cheaper as we get further into the Summer.

How is the weather going to be this year? :D

You'll be missed Jamie. It has been a pleasure knowing you. Take care and have fun in Cali.

You know Wade - Moab is only like 9 hours from San Diego (as opposed to 26 hours from Chicago), so when ever you Iowa boys get a hair across your butt to go to Moab, I'll see you THERE!

I'm just moving - I ain't dying!

good morning guys.

I am trying to get a buddie back into 4wheeling and all that jazz, but he drives a jeep cheroke. So do you think he could attend this event? I know it is a TLCA thing, but ......

anyway thanks for the time cheers

What hotels are you all familiar with in the area? I don't do the camping thing when it's hot as h*ll!

As last year, he can attend as your 'guest'. He still has to register and pay.

I believe this is what we decided again. Contact Art for the specifics.

cheers

F'n H O T.

So what do you all consider HOT :D Just trying to get a feel for what to expect. also I will be packing light but bringing my camp stove and such, Do you have a day or night when you offer breakfast or dinner ? Whats the closest town I could shop in ? do they charge for showers ? any information will be great, just trying to strech the budget. I looked at the camp site web site but there was limited information. Thanks Rob

In Iowa, F'n HOT= anything over 85 degrees. It's not the heat that kills you- it's our humidity.

We are trying to get a local grocery place to 'sponsor' a dinner one night- we have yet to hammer out all the details. Closest 'town' is Lovilla- 5 minutes south (pretty much just a gas station convenience store). Closest town with an actual grocery store will be Knoxville- about 10 miles?

No charge for showers on site.

I'm actually considering trying to get a hotel close by this time for the heat/ humidity reasons. I was not raised in this weather and anything over 80 just gets really uncomfortable really fast. Plus, I'll be bringing the co-pilot again this year and he doesn't handle the heat very well either.

Clarification:
Only Tall Corn Cruiser members (prior to Memorial Day 08) are allowed to invite one non-Toyota vehicle/guest to the event.

If'n he needs a 'sponsor' My invite slot is open.... for a fee! ;)

J/k- let me know if I need to 'invite' him.
