Tailgate won't open: Broken Plastic clip for rear tailgate latch (passenger side) (1 Viewer)

Hi guys,
I broke the plastic clip of death for the tailgate... (see photo) Turns out after investigation the control arm thing isn't connected anymore on the passenger side. I think the plastic clip broke, is there a way to replace this clip (or the entire rear passenger hinge if necessary??)

Is either of these the correct part?

Once again, would love to buy just the plastic clip if possible....

Also, weather strip is non extant on rear panel for tailgate, and many of the access panels. any recommendations on replacement? its just bare metal in these spots. (PO did an aftermarket replacement with diamond plate panels aparnelty, and the stock toyota ones weatherstripping is shot!

I'm drawing a blank on the brand...in every auto parts store, there are displays of universal hardware. Those plastic clips - that allow the rod to rotate in a hole, while keeping the rod attached to the hole - are sold in those displays. For the weatherstrip - mcmaster.com
