i am wanting to change my gear lube. i have a 01 taco v6 w/locker the owners manuel says hypoid c is a synthetic compatible with this? sorry bout the rookie question

For the rear diff or front diff just use mobil1 or amsoil synthetic. I think its 75-90w but you might want to double check. I've used that oil for years in my elocker diff.

Any 75w90 or 80w90 will work fine. I use Redline 75w90ns, which does not include any additives for mechanical LSD's.
