I’m having trouble finding the correct way to fix this. 1998 Tacoma 2.7 auto 4WD
Tachometer and speedometer needles started bouncing around irratically then quit working, the odometer flashed a bit then quit. The overdrive switch does not work, everything else works fine.
I can not find a blown fuse or loose connection.
No check engine light or thrown codes.
Any ideas on what to check?
Thank’s John

looks like tach and speedo share a ground, but thats about it. have you pulled the cluster to check for damage or loose connections?

No I have not pulled the cluster yet.
Yes it sounds like a ground issue.
I need to crawl all over it and check connections.
Thanks for replying!
And your suggestion.

Tis the season for bad car batteries. You jumped anyone, or been jumped, recently?
