Hi all.
I am curious about the options for my FJ40, I have an early NV4500 in it with an Advanced Adapter to mate a stock 3 speed T-case, So that means I have cut the output shaft on the NV4500 to fit.

My T-case needs to be rebuilt, I was wondering how an Orion would bolt up, What is the bolt pattern? Should I consider something else, Split case?
I know this will not be an inexpensive project, But I would like something that may bolt up to the NV4500 or the Adapter, I realize I will most likely be redoing the drive lines, I am on a limited budget.
Thanks for any thoughts, If you need more info, Please let me know, I'm sure I have forgotten to ask something.

I'm doing the NV4500 with my Orion. The Orion is a direct replacement for my stock 4-speed case, with the exception that it hangs just a little lower (maybe 1/2") than the stock case. I believe the early cases and later cases bolt up the same.

Cool, Thanks guy's, I will be giving Kurt @ Cruiseroutfittersa call.

spotcruiser, I like how you mounted your cross bar for the T-case, I welded mine on, But it hands a little low, If time alows I may change it to a bolted on afair.

Thanks. I made L brackets that are bolted to the frame through sleeved holes and hung the crossmember from that. It allows adjustment of the t-case, up or down, by shimming the L brackets or the case mount. It's up pretty high, but I might even try to tighten it up a little more in the future.

I am just now installing a 5.3 Vortec. Haven't decided on H55F or NV4500--pros and cons I guess with both units. I would like to use the Toyota box but they are so darn expensive! Won't do any rock crawling but am still worried about the transfer case. I could stay with my 4 speed case but am not sure it will like all that torque going through it. Do I need to go to an Orion HD? Or will the split case work just as well. Thanks.
