T bars: OME vs. Ironman vs. ???

I'd like to see more people in the 100 community support the Metal Tech guys. Anyone familiar with their products knows how well made their stuff is. I am planning to order the Metal Tech sliders when they are available. If these guys start selling more stuff for the 100's maybe we will see some bumpers in the works too.

100 series suspension

We've got a lot of experience with 100 series. I've dealt with both the ironman and OME. I run the OME and that is typically what we use and what people want, but I have no problem with the Ironman T-bars (we sell these too). Most of the "kits" we do are comprised with multiple products to get the best result within one's budget, but we do offer them any way someone wants. On my truck Ive run OME, Fox, and now some Slee 2.5 shocks which have been great.

sounds like the consistent view is that all the kits from the known big companies are all of high quality and will do you right....based on personal preference and cost. Great all the input and info being shared...

I don't think anyone has disagreed about "quality". I'm sure that all are brands equal there.

But if you want the T-bars you select to "do you right" then you need to select the proper brand/diameter based on your truck's weight and one's application.

We all do this when it comes to selecting rear springs. We should do it the same way on the front rather than just going out and buying some "kit" or "brand".

Whoa, hold on, am I the only one that caught that? No mention of anything but OME shocks on the Slee web site.

Carl, can you elaborate?

***EDIT*** whoops i jumped the gun but and posted info to Slee Coil Springs not SHOCKS as mentioned... Anyway here is info on Slee Coil springs that may be helpful or just more confusing for those interested... I don't believe Slee makes any line of shocks... They use OME in their "kits" but can get other brands AFAIK...

Slee Offroad has their own branded coil springs

Under the 100's see recommended part # SOF2RH | 2" | 300-500 lbs

Here is the main link to the different Coil spring offerings from Slee:

He was testing custom shocks last year when I spoke with him at the Overland Expo in AZ. He mentioned high quality and with travel approaching L-series...though not equalling. I've not seen them for sale yet.

Talked to Christo Slee yesterday to get my dibs on the t-bars when he gets them. Of course that lead to talk about the other lift components.

He now has his own line of remote resevoir shocks. Don't let me speak for him, as he IS on this forum, but I believed they were meant to compete with the King/Fox brands with remotes, not the OME he sells. He quoted something like $400+ per shock.

After explaining to him my use for my rig, he said I should stick with OME, so I think he is intending to offer two options, L-series OME and then his remote res. shocks.

Where the TB fits into the mount up front....go to Camel 4x4 site and where he has the instructions there is page on bottom left that shows reinforcing brackets and installation.

Thanks for the link. I'm really surprised that they think that is needed. Both the LCA and the t-bar mount are pretty tough already. And it's not like the t-bars themselves are adding any force to the system, they just change the buoyancy point.

What i dont know how to do is replace the torsion bars etc etc.

Super easy DIY on the 100. Some great posts here on Mud to help.

Slee must be nuts! Doesn't he know that the L-series shocks don't make any difference over the non-L's! :D:D:D:D:D

Uh...maybe I miss quoted that...I am getting confused with the whole OME comfort-firm-sport-L series-80 series stuff?!?! More generally speaking I only meant that his line of shocks would not be replacing his ome line.

Sorry for any confusion.
