I had this occasional "jingle" when going over speed bumps, etc. and mentioned it when i brought it in for a "checkup". The mechanic has been spot on with other things...so I have no doubt this is where the noise is coming from. He showed me that my rear sway bar links are loose, creating that noise. He told me to get the sway bar links/bushings/hardware. FYI, I had an alignment done recently just because it had been 5-7 years and also to check ball joints, tie rods, etc...all was good and tight. Alignment was done by another trusted place, but different from mechanic.

Now...questions/comments:
1) I typically use OEM, but do I really need them? It seems like the parts I need would be 4-5 times what OEM would cost.
2) If OEM is recommended, can you send me the part numbers?
3) No lift, mall cruiser
4) I've thought about doing the front links while I'm at it. I'm guessing they are original too.

Even he said, they aren't BAD...but that wasn't causing the noise. My OCD has this bothering me lol

Thoughts? TIA

Replace the bushings for them, you can look up part numbers on a site like partsouq and then price compare to there and your local dealer. Don't know why he'd tell you to replace the linkage too.

He told me the noise was coming from the SB links...to get everything, bushings/hardware, etc. Anyone have links to those parts, front/rear? I assume the links themselves too, but would rather not and buy OEM SB link bushings front and rear.

Rock Auto will give you plenty of choices... Simply do a google or Ebay search as well. It is really easy to look up parts online... you will get instant results without having to wait for replys in a forum... just my opinion :meh::meh::meh:

I just ordered these bushings for front and rear. I ordered a pretty bare bones OEM “kit” with ONLY the actual bushings because my truck is rust free and just has old bushings. I did get the front end link because the bushing is part of the assembly.

This looks what I was hoping to find...a list of OEM parts to order for front and rear.

Thank you!

There is a bushing that goes around the bolt and passes through the swaybar (90385-11021 listed above). It takes the most load and will fall apart possibly causing the noise you are hearing. It can also give a little of a loose or "tippy" feeling until you load up the springs in a turn.

Awesome...thank you!

This will replace the front AND rear bushings? Mechanic confirmed, all I need is the rubber/bushings, none of the links/bolts, etc. I do see your note about the front link as the bushing is part of the assembly.

Sounds like you did exactly the same as I am doing? Mine too is rust free...so to confirm, this did front/rear? TIA,

Yes, that's front and rear.

Yes, that's front and rear.
Cool! I was pretty sure with what you said and posted, ordered the same, OEM...thanks! Looking forward to getting rid of that "rattle" and also any other improvements it brings. Thanks again!!!
