swap first gen fenders/hood onto 84 X-cab?

I've seen first gen boxes on second gen trucks.....the body lines are almost exact.....searched like crazy and can't find any fender, hood, and grill swaps onto a second gen.....I know it might sound foolish....I just prefer the look of the first gen truck....and it would be cool having more leg room....thanks for any info....I usually find everything without asking, but can't seem to find this one

Howdy! The floor is part of the cab, not the fenders. If you cut the floor for more leg room, you will loose room for the tires to articulate. Many cut/flip the corner of the floor for bigger tires, and then just move the seats back. That's why I have an X-cab. John

LOL.....I have lots of first gen parts....and am looking at a second gen xtracab.....and am wondering if I can replace the fenders, hood, and grill with first gen ones for a different look....has anyone seen or heard of this?
the body-lines look very similar.....

Howdy! You might try checking into the aftermarket super flair fenders. See if they are interchangable between Gen 1 and Gen 2. If they are, then you may be in luck. John

the high clearance onces get rid of the squared off look and make it more like the first gen fenders....and no need for flares.....maybe the second gen is looking better to me now
