Two bushings per front lower control. The control arms can be removed and taken to a shop to be pressed.

More specifically, mine are sitting on top of my 850's ;)

so they go into the stock lower control arms??? the kind that I have an extra set of DAN????

Hey guys. Ya i agree, let's get started early which will leave us more time in the event we run into an issue or two. How about 9:00 am ? Does that work ? I will have room for 1 -2 additional rigs in the driveway if anyone else wants to work on something...
I can use a hand in flushing my brake fluid. I'm also getting a little sqeeking/sqeeling that may be found with her up on all fours. Except for that, I can help whomever needs an assistant.

Yep, that's right. There's one at the rear and two forward ones. Offset centers in those two bushings correct the caster when it goes higher. Of course the arms you have are from a 93-94. Don't know the specific differences between those and 95 and later versions.

Guss we need to find out huh???

Just a reminder that we are just over a week away from the install/tech day at my place. I just wanted to confirm again that we will have some experts on hand so that us newbies (or maybe i am the only newbie) are not left left with a spring in one hand and wrench in the other and with no idea where to begin. I have read Slee's instructions/hints a few times and it looks pretty straight forward, but experience is always worth a million bucks.

If it is cool with the group, perhaps we can donate a buck each and i will grab some gut bombs (donuts) in the morning to help soak up the :beer: later in the afternoon (or later in the morning).

Honestly, i am looking forward to meeting everyone and learning a thing or tow about my 80! See you guys on the 7th @ 0900.

I love donuts.....so I am more than happy to chip in...I might be late never can tell...See you in a week or so...

I love donuts...

Go figure! :D

0900, ready for a donut.

I received the Landtank template for the CC bushings a couple days ago, any word from Boyd?

Is anyone coming from somewhere near Sam? He's got a small part that I need to pick up. Donuts are good with me.

Nope, you didn't miss it....I will PM the folks that said they were coming tomorrow with my address. I am off the 405 and Bellflower if that helps folks plan their drive. Hey, i noticed on your site that you are running Hankook MT's. Do you like them? Have you had them in the snow/rain/ice at all ? If so, how well did they perform? After the lfit next week i will be tire shopping and right now am looking at BFG AT's but would like a more aggressive tire if they can perform well in snow/ice/wet conditions in the local mountains....

I think this is a complete list of folks that wanted to come over for the install/tech thingy at my place. PM's will go out today with address info, etc. Let me know if i missed you and i will get you added to the list:

SOCALFJ
mkfour
fj80toyman
calfj60
Slomo
Bluto
g8mfzj80
BiggRedd
boydmick

Im a 'maybe' at this point. Have to check and see what we are up too next weekend to make sure. Yeah, we are running the Hankooks (wanted something different than everyone else) and they work great even in ice/snow. If you look at the site there should be a write up on a socal snow run i did. So far very pleased with the tires.

PM's sent.

I'm still up in the air. I'm trying to fly back in to Long Beach on the first flight Saturday morning. If I can make it happen I'd like to join up with you all if there is still room. I'm leaving tomorrow night, so I'll just throw everything in the truck in case I can make it back in time.

If I cant get back til Sunday morning, any of you on the off chance want to use your new found "ome install" knowledge to help me with my install? :)

Got PM really hoping to make it and meet those I have not had the pleasure of a face to face.

We better see a couple of lifted rigs by the end of next weekend! :hillbilly:
