Greetings, I'm guessing that factory struts and springs won't support well enough an ARB or aftermarket bull bar bumper on my 2014. I would like to support such bumper without lifting the front above stock rear height, if possible. I've searched here for intel but found nothing -- does a combination of struts and springs exist to achieve this? If not, what's a combo of springs and struts that will provide minimal and level lift and a smooth stable ride with the steel bumper? Thanks in advance.

If it’s a Land Cruiser, add the OEM front shock spacer. If it’s an LX, bolt it on and enjoy.
So factory shocks and springs will properly support an ARB bumper on the highway and off road without compromising ride, braking, and performance?

Oh there is no free lunch I’m afraid. You’ll feel it but the oem spacer will compensate for the sag.

There are struts (like ARB BP-51) with adjustable preload collars. With this you can dial in the lift with the weight of your bumper. It’s not quite as easy as it sounds as you can’t adjust the collar with the strut mounted on the truck and you need a spring compressor but you can end up where you want.

Thanks for the suggestions. Upon further digging, found these helpful threads:

You can also add spring rubbers. These reduce the number of effective coils and thus increase the spring rate. I’m running a few to help with all my extra weight on an lx.
You could also call up a supplier like terrain tamer and get increased spring rate shocks without the extra lift.
