Hey Dane,

Yeah we were already back home. Decided not to camp. There were already several people up at the Lake and we wanted to get down to the base of the trail before dark hit.

Yep, there were a few people swimming when we got there. Had the sun been out the whole time, I probably would have changed into my trunks and joined em.

I was in almost waste deep, fishing for fish that obviously didn't exist. It was completely swimmable. Even without the hot sun.

Dang I'm sorry I missed it! We got our bear, the third one we seen finally came close enough @450 yards so all is good

I will be sure to get your family a lsome deer and bear meet when we get it ready. She was saying she would love to try some.

Thinking about possibly making another run up to Surprise Lake this Friday if I can get enough interest. I'll be camping that night and coming back Saturday afternoon sometime. If interested just post up and let me know. We can figure out details if enough people are interested.
