Gonna head up Saturday around lunch time. My little brother is coming into town so I would like to get him up there for a bit and maybe do some fishing. Everyone is welcome.

Link up at the Safeway in Bonney Lake at the corner of HWY 410 & 214th AVE E., at 12pm, Saturday.

Haven't decided if I'll be camping over night or just staying for the day. I'm on vacation so I'm pretty open to anything right now.

To get to Surprise Lake there's about a 45 minute trail ride to get there. Once you get to the top of the mountain, where Surprise Lake is, it's pretty much a hang out spot. There are other trails in the area, I just don't know how much driving I'll be doing, personally. If one was so inclined, he could drive the trails out there all day. The area we will be at is also in the same area as Evans Creek. So if some guys wanted to cruise over there for a bit, that would be completely doable.
 
As far as I know, as long as we aren't in a designated camp spot, which we won't be, you don't need any kind of pass. If we go over to Evans you would need a day pass. I can't remember exactly how much they are. But they sell them right there in Burnett.

That would be awesome if you make it out. If not, we would understand.
 
Hey Kyle, it'll be nice if you can make it. You should get Nick out there too. I confirmed, we will not need any passes up at Surprise Lake.
 
x2 on the fishing, curious about it.

If I go, which I think I want to, I'd be bringing my 2 year old daughter. Any reason I wouldn't wanna do that? Probably wouldn't do much, ride out, walk around and check the area out and probably head back before you guys leave.
 
Supposed to be good fishing. Some good native trout. I'll have my rod and reel with me for sure.

It should 2 year old friendly. I don't see why it wouldn't be. Kind of a rough ride up, but it the car seat is nice and secure it should be okay.
 
Sweet, not worried about the bit of 'offroading', just mainly wanted to make sure you guys don't mind a 2 year old out there in your vicinity. =P
 
psh nah, if cash was a little older I would bring him haha, kids are great. I havnt been there but our alpine lakes usually have some killer trout in them, if I make it up with you guys you can be sure I will be reeling in a few ;)

I've been there several times and never fished it. How sad is that?
 
No worries. Hunting bear seems a little more exciting than fishing for some small trout. And bear meat sounds phenomenal. I'll be first in line. Haha
 
Damn trying to get in touch with you guys. Damn phone no work. Wanted to go. Came home cuz my boys team didn't do so good at the tournament.
