Surf N Turf 2009

I know it is early, but thought I would post up the info for surf and turf this year in pismo. We already booked our hotel in morro bay. We plan to be there thur-sunday and do some other stuff in town, hikes, 4x4 backroads, etc. Thursday night farmers market is a good time. We plan to be on the dunes all day Saturday.

I'm definitely going this year. I don't know if I'll be driving my 55, but worse case I'll be taking my wifes 4x4 Sequoia.

I may be in this year as well. No conflict with Panamint Valley days which is the following weekend.

I only hope the state does not close oceano dunes as part of budget cuts

yeah, how the F does that work, aren't these "public" lands? I could see them closing the entrance gates and the ammenities there, but how the hell can they close the actual space, it would seem it is our right to go on public land, somewhat like blm land? but what the heck do I know......

I am planning on going up in the 40. My son and I went for the first time in my wife's 4Runner last year and had a great time, but I want to take the 40 this year. We got up there Friday night last year, but I think we are planning on taking our time and getting up there on Thursday this year, and then having more time to check out what the Pismo area has to offer. It's a pretty fun event with all kinds of Cruisers to check out.
