I posted this in the social forum but got no replies. Any other SoCal 100's going to Surf N Turf this year? I am probably going to go up on Friday and was going to see if anyone else wanted to caravan up.

Sounds like it'll be a great trip. Lots of cool trails in the area. Maybe you guys can squeeze in the Laurel Lakes Trail too. =)

What com channels (CB or Ham) does everyone use at Surf & Turf? Also, do you talk on the drive up to the event?

speaking of radio's what is a good way to go for something inexpensive. just to hold over until I want/need something better. I would like to have something for surf n turf. I have not had any radio training or certification. most likely just be to listen in on whats going on.
