I know Ratpuke on here has run a couple sets of 35s. Maybe PM her.

Can't say, I always blow a sidewall before the tread is gone...

not long enough. and they suck as street tires.

TSL-SX's here. Got about 45 - 50 thousand out of all three sets of mine. Granted they were chunked out and were only good for spares in the end.

I was actually getting pretty good tread wear when running a set on my daily driver (35x10.5x16s on a Defender 90), until the lugs started chunking. In a couple specific cases, I lost complete lugs that came off and left cracks into the carcass.

Installed a brand new set of 35x12.5x15 SSRs on my 42 back in 2001 for the trip down to Cruise Moab. Surprisingly, they didn't wear as much as I feared they would on pavement. Drove from Calgary to Moab and by the time of arrival, only a portion of the nipples had started to wear off.

Since then, the 42 has made countless trips down to various events (Pismo in 2005), between Calgary and Vancouver and between Fort St. John/Calgary many many times.

The tires have always performed well off road too. The tires and rims were all new so they were fairly well balanced from the start.

Over the past 8 years of offroad and on road driving, the SSRs haven't let me down. I blew one side wall which was a pain in the ass. Not bad considering all the other times I didn't.

They're great tires and I'll be getting another set in a few months time (different size). 2 are finally down to the wear bars. The truck is fairly useless in slick mud now, although mud chunks will still fly!

Kevin - I didn't mean to ignore your email about the wheels. I only nailed down the details of what I'll be doing with Orange this past weekend. If you're still interested at all and can wait a bit, let me know.
