440k, wow. Original paint?

Good looking LC. I've been fixated on finding a LX450 for so long that I've put the 'other' FZJ80 out of my mind, the good 'ol LandCruiser.

Seriously? Im curious as to what would draw someone to a LX450 so much that they forgot about the real thing? The woodgrain? The center console subwoofer? The cladding?

The pink underpants?

That's freakin' hilarious coming from the 'auto tranny' crowd. Poking fun at the luxury edition of the same series rig you own or want to own, except that this one is completely assembled in Japan with higher quality interior components. All the capability of the LandCruiser, just more creature comforts inside. Yeah, better leather, a subwoofer (however crappy) in place of your lint and loose change holder. Better grade, albeit not by much, leather. Better soundproofing. Not to mention that most of the LX450's out there tended to live a fairly sedate lifestyle... lower miles, easier living. I'll admit, the cladding took a long while to get used to. But hey, if I *really* don't like it, I can *gasp*.... remove it.

Oh, before we continue with the man card throw down, I own a 1987 FJ60. A *real* LandCruiser - round headlights, 4 speed manual tranny, manual locking hubs (yes kids, the kind you have to get out of the vehicle for and twist by using your thumb and at least one other opposing finger). :grinpimp:

I'll take the pink underpants. At least they're not yellow or brown. :grinpimp: :moon:

:beer::beer: Sorry to take the sales thread into deep left field. GLWS OP BTW.

Clearly somebody hasn't been around the 80 crowd to know that's an inside joke...

And to make sure my Land Cruiser street cred/man card is in check...I've owned 19 Land Cruisers now. Including 5 40s, 2 60s, 1 62, 1 70, 7 80s, 3 100s. I presently own 3 80s. Couldn't get me to trade one of them for anything else.

Ease up, LS1FJ40 was totally kidding, its an ongoing joke that LXs of any sort are for the girls, or whatever. But, I was seriously wanting to know what would draw someone to the the LX 450 in particular over an 80 Series Land Cruiser (two words, BTW). I have to correct you though, the Land Cruiser is completely assembled in Japan. So It looks like I was correct; you prefer the LX450 for the leather, subwoofer and cladding. However, I did not know that the LX had more soundproofing. Just an FYI, if you go removing the cladding, know that there are a few more holes in the doors that you have to fill that the LC doesn't have. Thanks for responding, I seriously was just curious.

Also sorry to hijack, good luck with the sale OP. That is an amazing testament to the interior quality of the LC actually considering it has 450k. Again, is that original paint on that 40th??

I believe so my family never painted it and the reciept book is so well put together I'm sure there would be a reciept in there for paint if there was lol
