Well I tilted my sunroof for the first time today and it won't close. Is there a manual means of closing it?

Thanks

Don't have one with a sun roof so wouldn't know of any manual means. Probably jammed from lack of lube on the slides. I imagine the motor probably has some sort of gear drive that needs lubing too.
Does the motor make any noise when you try and shut the sun roof?
Does the roof move at all?
Was the roof slow or noisy when you opened?

Hope it's not raining over there at the moment.

You've probably tried this already/know this but when closing it, it will stop automatically in that position, then you have to hit the button again to get it to close all the way. Have you tried opening it more, then closing it again? Just an idea.

I tried opening/closing. I checked the fuses. I opened the switch panel and tried jumpig the wires behind the switch. It's electrically dead. Luckily no rain.

If it opened up in the first place then it must have had power then my guess is that the switch only works on "open" and is broken on "close". You probably need to get a test light or multimeter to test if there is any power. If you don't have any power the motor could've overloaded on sticking slides blowing a fuse. If you do have power it could be a faulty switch or a faulty motor.
Keep us posted with what you find out.
Any other mudders with sun roofs that might be able to help with more detail.

iirc your owner's manual has instructions on how to lower it manually. I think you basically take off the switch panel cover and can crank it down manually from there.

Yep, there's a place where you pop out a plastic cover and use a hex wrench to manual move the sunroof. My 94 actually came with a hex wrench for just that purpose.

there is more than 1 place for fuses.

I checked all the fuses, I think the harness that runs from the driver door controls to under the dash got wet at some point, after the alarm and stereo was installed the pdl's were dead and the installer had to jumper it's wire around the conector. He got the roof closed (not sure how) and said he would find the problem and fix it on Tuesday. I'll let you guys know what it was.

I think I need to replace the sun roof switches, as well as the driver's side rear door switch, the installer also said my door lock when the key is on issue is related to the dome lights not working from the door switches, does that make sense?

I have it (I think) narrowed to the wiring harness thet enters the cab from the driver's door it seems to have goten wet and so I need to know the color of the sunroof's wire(s) My FSM is still not here so could someone please look up the colors for me please?

Thanks

you can download the FSM from this site. look at the review section.
