97 LX450. Found the source of the water causing the passenger side carpet to get wet. It has to do with the sunroof and travels down the wall behind the rear seatbelt to the floor. It is not the drain hose connections but right next to the rear passenger side drain it is leaking. (Center of pic, water drop) What is this and is there supposed to be a plug in there???

Did you ever figure this out? My passenger side is leaking intermittently and I'm having a hell of a time duplicating it using a pitcher of water. My hose doesn't have any kinks in it and appears to be flowing freely; but occasionally when it rains my floor board fills up.

Sunroof leak temporary solution

I've been having the same problem and made sure it wasn't the hose that's leaking...but the leak is still there... I lined the rim of my sun/moonroof with a thick tape (i.e. double-sided foam tape) and voila! The leak has gone... The reason for this? As the years go by, the rubber in the sunroof stiffens and shrinks, allowing a bigger gap to show between the rim and the sunroof itself... Putting in the adhesive tape makes the gap smaller, allowing less water to come in...allowing the channels and drain hoses to drain the small amount of water continuously without overflowing.. Hope this helps... Will try to take a picture of that i did to my sunroof and post it... But then again, this is just temporary... If you can replace your sunroof rubber seal, could be better..

I'm back... below are the pictures I've taken on my sunroof leak "solution".

Could be better if I find a black tape or if there's a black rubber with adhesive on one side available in the market... In any case, I have only spent around Php400.00 on this...roughly $10.00.

I had a similar problem back when first got my LX. Ended up being my AC drain had somehow gotten routed and was dripping into my passenger floorboard. Just something to think about.

Dried, sanded and injected the hole where the water drip is in the photo with silicone. Fixed. Months later found a new leak after rain and washing that was coming down the inner of the front passenger door and dripping down the clear plastic sheet that become unsealed at the bottom. Was causing the carpet to get wet on the floor. Siliconed the plastic sheet back up and fixed.
