Big thanks to Dave Nevison for leading the Stockers as well, great job Junior!

This was a GREAT loop, challenging for stockers in a few spots with enough easier stuff to keep everyone's blood pressure down. Lane lives near a real l4x4 playground.

How was the rest of the stocker run guys? I assume you didn't take the wrong turn Jason and I did or you'd still be in the woods... that was a nasty stretch. :) Otherwise it seemed pretty dry, Jason and I mostly ran it in full on Colin McRae and Nicky Grist style. :)

Besides all the fun, the best thing about yesterday was my wife looking over at me after any fun patch gigglin and saying 'that was so much fun' I think I got her hooked and that will help when comes time for ordering some new parts$

big thanks to the organizers, Lane for putting up his house, Dave Nevison, Junior and Harry for help on the stock run.

Will post some pics soon!

go take a look mr. peters...

also, the links provided above... it takes a long time to upload 114 5mb pictures. i will keep it running through out the day... keep checking... more pics get added every few minutes.

NAT... can you send me the vids? dont we need to convert them?

Firstly, a big thank you to Lane (and Dave and Annie) for hosting and organizing the event. From the eponymous green 40 serving as a "Party Here!" sign (Pic #1) to the wonderful chili (sorry, no pics of before OR after on that one), everything was well thought out, planned, prepared and executed. They even managed to round up some rain to make the trails more interesting!

Secondly, a huge thank you to Landtank and co-pilot for giving us a ride and generously sharing their wonderful 80. A huge thank you as well to nat88toy, Mike, peepers and all the other people whose names I missed :frown: for introducing us to this great passtime. Thank you, people!

Finally, from a newbie's viewpoint - a quick summary. You meet good people (pic #2), you wait (pic #3) a lot. Nice green FJ40!

... People get stuck. In the same place. Some things work. Others - not quite. The large rock in the DS rut managed to snag the intrepid leader of the intermediate run as well as two other victims.

more lessons learned.

... an 80 can fit through pretty tight turns (pic #1). Obstacles always look more imposing from the top (pic #2). And even though the 4runner is your DD *and* you decide to bypass the obstacle, you should always keep your sense of humour (pic #3 - he did!).

and the last batch of pictures

I did not manage to snag any pictures of our acting intrepid leader peepers on the hill (I was having too much fun with Mike's hand winch), but here are a couple more pictures of the downhill slide leading up to it. Despite mumbling about underpants and having to climb out to eyeball the situation, Mike did great! Sorry, peepers and landtank went through too fast for me to take pictures. Next time I will either drive myself or take more pictures!

Thank you all!

if we were wheeling carnage then yes, it is part of it and it is scary steep and unstable!

Is that big downhill part of carnage? i don't remember that.

Yes. Looked fine from the passenger seat of Landtank's 80 ;) . Thank you, Rick!
