Adding turbo to 1HZ... does anyone have experience using a sump return fitting like below vs welding in place? Is fast/easy worth the possibility of it leaking?

Looks ok to me, perhaps use some oil/ heat proof goop too. Been thinking of something like that for a bypass filter return line myself.
Welding would probably be better though.
Look forward to other replies.

without a doubt it would work just fine, but you still have to take the pan off to put it on, so may as well weld it.

Pan's coming off for sure but much easier to just drill then bolt in with washer/seal dealios than prep, weld, paint...

Anyone have a good reason for me not to do it the easiest way?

Seal it with some suitable goop too.

Pretty sure the 1hz has a two layer sump. Using some goo will seal between the layers in case one of the rubber seals leaks
