Well, i have decided that this summer the 60 will be coming off the road for somewhat of an overhaul. Here's the to do list:
- Replace frame
- Replace fuel tank and lines (long range?)
- Rebuild and install FF rear axle
- Rebuild front axle
- Re-arch springs
- New shocks
- Clean up engine bay wiring
- Wire a 12V circuit with 3rd battery for all 12V accessories
- Wire electric trailer brakes and lights
- install new front seats (factory recaros from a Saab)
- Turbo
- Replace BEB's
- Intercooler (if money permits)
- Tune up
- Replace all fluids and filters
Wow, that list didn't seem so long in my head.
I will be living in Greenville this summer and working in Greer, so I hope to be renting a shop in Greer to do all the work there. The reason i decided to share this with you all is because
1) help is more than welcome
and
2) I was hoping to maybe borrow some tools....
I know the shop would have a 2-post lift, but other than that i am not sure. I would also need a torch, a good-sized welder, and a grinder.
Anyone else got some plans for the summer?
