I have a 2014 LX 570 and I'm curious about a couple of things. If I can get some recommendations, that'll be great.
  1. What's the largest tire size I can put on this thing without modifying anything?
  2. If I have to purchase/replace new tires, do I purchase 4 or 5 at a time?
  3. In your experience what's best all terrain tires for the LX 570?
  4. Do you know a site/place where they sell used rims?
Thank you.

1. I think 34” tires are known to be the max without modifying anything. I went with narrow 35” tires, expecting to only modify the flaps, the front of the fender liner and sensor lift. We’ll see in the next couple of weeks.

2. If you go up in size, five. I believe as long as the overall diameter is within a certain percentage of the others, the AWD system will perform fine. Too much variance and it won’t.

3. I think a lot of folks in general run BFG KO2s. I went with Kenda Klevers which were highly rated and had the pizza cutter sizing.

4. I don’t.

#2 Always 5 tires as all of them are part of the rotation.

#4. Look here in classifieds. If you're looking for OEM LX wheels also look on Lexus Owners Club
There is also the huge Toyota Nation Toyota Nation Forum - https://www.toyotanation.com
And off course there is eBay, Craigslist, OfferUp, and Facebook.

People are comfortable with different things and how badly they want to achieve their goals.

Taking your words at face value "without modifying anything"

1. 33s 285/70/17
2. 5 always for the spare. And rotate that way to 5 tires every time.
3. I only experienced KO2s on the street, they are highly rated and original equipment on a lot of different trucks over the years. Toyo AT3, Falken Wildpea come highly rated in what I've read on this forum.

You can do bigger tires on the LX compared to the LC but you will have to remove mudflaps, push the fender in a little, get a little less offset on the wheel (25-40)

There are so many parameters on that and theres some guys who run 0 offset successfully.

It really depends on your use and how you want it to look and what you're willing to do to get there.

Thank you so much for the suggestions. If I go with a bigger tire, does that also reduce my MPG?

Generally yes. Among other compromises like handling. Though just as much of it has to do with AT tire compromises to rolling resistance and such.

The easy button is to go up one aspect ratio from stock. 285/55R20. A great AT tire that more of us probably should get if we're being honest with how we really use the vehicle - Michelin LTX AT2 in 285/55R20 @ 32.4" tall and 11.7" wide. Should drop right in.

I’m running Yokohama G015 285/55R20 on stock rims. I replaced 5 Michelin Latitude’s that came on the truck when I bought in in July, buy a matching spare, its worth it. I love these tires, previousLynn’s ran them on my 4Runner. Tires are great in rain and snow. Good off road in most all conditions except maybe deep mud. And still quiet and composed for dialysis driving. My Yoko’s are E rated and weigh considerably more than the Michelins and the MPG drop was noticeable. I can still get 18-20 mpg on the highway, around town 15mpg. I could have gone with a lighter tire but I want the durability when I’m driving forest roads and rocky trails.
