Steve,
Nice work. Is it possible to install the amps behind the panel, in tha pocket area beside the sub box?

Thanks,
Robert

My sub amp is behind the left panel and fit well.

Will try to take one tomorrow and post it but take in mind that my 80 is a non US spec so I don´t have any idea what´s behind yours.

Mine had absolute nothing besides the stock jack (removed since I carry a Hi-Lift), tools and of course gas filler neck.

any one know what wire is what. or do I need to wire the amp up from the head unit?

much thanks for any help.

do the RCAs plug in to the head unit or do you splice them in? for the sub would i use both sets of speaker wires or or just the ones that go to the old OE sub amp.(if you can call it that)

If you search you'll find more detailed info on the wiring. You can't just hook up another sub, you'll need an amp. Most amps have a speaker input as well as rca,so you don't need to run rca to the head unit although I would. Not sure if stock decks have rca output, mine has an aftermarket deck. Rca okug in, never heard of anyone splicing them in?

I have and understand that I need an amp (I bought a Bazooka from Circuit city and will wire power from the battery yada yady) my question more specifically is what two of the wires are the actual sound signals that i can plug in to the amp.
and is one of the wires a power remote current?
