Substance on rear door window (1 Viewer)

Anyone get this. I've cleaned it off several times but still gets on there again. Worse in hot weather. It's on the inside of the glass passenger rear door

Is it coming from the door frame or the roof?

odd. is it always in the same pattern? always on just the inside? do you have kids or a dog?

Always on inside. In the same general area. Yes kid and dog but they weren't in the car since I cleaned the window 2 days ago. It starts from inner belt area not from roof area

total guess but perhaps it's some sort of over-applied adhesive in the door gasket or liner that's melting with the heat? is it greasy (like the silicon grease on the sunroof tracks) or like water stain?
i don't recall ever seeing anyone post a similar issue but i've only been reading mud for 10 years or so.

Yes greasy feeling.might have to pull the door panel and peek inside

The lower door card is not hard to remove. I don’t know about the top trim.
