Hello all...
I have a 1998 HZJ75 series trayback, my sub tank fuel tank works, the green light comes on etc but the gauge is always stuck on empty, is this an easy fix or a pain in the ass? Any help/info greatly appreciated

I'm kinda in the same boat. Mine is way off, with the tank full, it goes to about 1/3 tank. Check the wiring, grounds, etc is a good place to start.

After I check all the wiring, I will be dropping in a new fuel sender to see if that fixes the problem. If not, I guess I'll have to try and source a new/used gauge:meh:

Mine is doing the same as Toy88's cruiser. I plan to consult the FSM,it details how to diagnose the sender with a multi meter

If you unplug the sender near the tank and find the yellow with a red tracer and put a 3.5.watt test light on the wire and ground the other end of the test light with the key on the light should glow and fuel gauge will go to around 3/4. If this works it may be the earth on back tank sender. If it doesnent work check it on the back of cluster and also check earth on cluster.
Good luck.

Thanks aussie 25 I'll give that a go today mate & I'll let ya know how I get on
