Stuck PCV Valve... any suggestions on getting this puppy out? I don't think this one has been changed in a while... the PO must not have done it. The grommet feels extremely dry. I have pulled and pulled.

Thanks.

No need to apologize. I'd like to get 25 (or more) MPG, too.

Run some SEAFOAM, give it a try after you run some threw your engine, it might help

Jonathan/SandRider

before ya yank on it, get a new gromet and PVC.......then yank that stuburn SOB out, you can't hurt anything.......as long as you have the new gromet(which you can get at Toyota)

Some sort of penetrant/lubricant. Spray, spray, spray! Soak, soak, soak! BFH. Hit, hit hit! Vise grips. Yank, turn, yank!

Repeat as often as necessary. :D

A little vaseline on the new one will make it go in easier. :D

I am at work now, but i will attack the thing in its sleep as soon as I get home.

Good thing you got the gromet...

I used a pair of channel locks and started twisting on it. The gromet finally broke and it all came loose. Don't be afraid to really get on it. Just don't let the gromet fall down into the pipe...

Using channel locks was exactly my next move, Swank60.
