This t-case came with a 1970 FJ40 I bought for parts years ago. It appears to be some kind of aftermarket unit, but has dimensions close to that of a stock case. It uses the same parking brake, nose cone (that I robbed for my old Cruiser a while back), etc. as a stock 3-speed case. Has anyone ever seen one of these before, or know anymore about it?

Hi All:

Very cool! Both in a historical way, and in a practical (what a great idea!) way! :D

Thanks for sharing with us!!

Hey R.K., Please do me a huge favor and measure the depth of the four holes, or length of the bolts that mount the parking brake backer plate to the rear bearing retainer on that transfer case. I'm guessing they will all be the same 13mm depth, and not the 13mm upper left hand corner and the other three being 20mm like on a stock Toyota model. If you could verify that for me it would solve a mystery for me. Thanks!
