It's the newby again. Still haven't figured out the keyless entry deal but on to more important things to work through.

When I start my 94 LC up and let it idle for a bit (waiting on the wife to get out the door) it slowly "winds" down. The engine sounds like I'm accelerating although I'm not and the RPM's just keep going lower and lower. I have not let it go until it dies, but it sounds like it is about to each time. This also happens sometimes even after I've driven a bit and come to a stop sign or light where I have to sit for a bit. It just sounds like the engine is struggling for fuel or air or something. The only other clue I can provide is that it had a check engine light on right after I picked it up. I had the oil changed and mechanic looked it over and found nothing wrong. Since I had just filled the tank up with gas for my first time I decided to try something one of you guys suggested on another thread here. I disconnected the battery. That reset the check engine and it hasn't come back on since. Idle issue remains though. Any thoughts? I don't want to start working on fixes for the wrong problems. Thanks in advance.

I'd start by checking for any vacuum leaks with either water or carb cleaner.

Cracked intake hose?
