Hi everyone, hoping someone has run across this in the past... Just got home and noticed a strange hissing sound coming from the passenger side rear tire area. It doesn't appear to be the tire. I'm letting it sit but I checked the height control and while it did raise slowly, it made it to the "high" setting. Not sure what to check for, I'm not the most mechanically inclined but would appreciate any input/help available.

Thanks!

Is the tire flat now? lol. AHC shouldn't make any hissing noises, its a hydraulic system not air. Does it sound like an air leak? Where does it sound like its coming from?

Thanks for the quick reply DD.. The tire is not flat, just took it around the block and it is still making the sound. Coming from right behind the tire. We had the rear air on for a while earlier, didn't know if that might have something to do with it?

Possible rear AC leak? Rear AC condensation dripping on the hot exhaust? I would suspect it is related to the AC. Is the hissing constant or not? Its really a guessing game until you can try to get some more info. Maybe crawl under the truck and inspect the AC lines and poke around a little.

it's been about 3 hours now... still making that hissing sound, the tire is still inflated, and no leaks that i can see. I will see what happens overnight.

If it were mine, I'd crawl under it and try to find where and what is hissing. After 3 hours it's cool enough, I'd grab at pipes and tires to see if I could put my hands on it to figure it out...

I agree, climb under there and see whats up.

Think its the AC. Not sure what part of the AC is in the rear behind the tire/wheel well but today the air acts like it needs a recharge. Thanks everyone for the feedback. I appreciate it

Here is a crop from the FSM to give you an idea where the lines run.

Any time. I would suspect the connection to the evaporator, but it would be worth inspecting the linesfor external damage.
