Strange buzzing

Gentlemen, there’s a strange buzz emanating from my center console when the truck has key power and when it’s on , thoughts? fixes?

Sound like it's coming from the CD slot? Is it rhythmic at all, tending to buzz, quiet, buzz, quiet? Or maybe kindof pulse?

If it's what others have posted about I suspect the fans in the nav unit.. unconfirmed though. Yet.

some type of servo or fan?

Pretty sure that’s the nav unit fans I was referring to.

I’m basing this on having had the nav unit out and seeing the fans, where people describe the noise coming from, and past experience with other small electric fans wearing out. Unfortunately I don’t foresee having to pull my nav unit again soon to do further testing.

You can narrow things down to a given system by selectively pulling fuses.

Sounds like the disc drive is wigging out to me maybe? That or could be some beefy fan having a cable caught on it?

Id never be able to live with that personally and would be ripping it up

trim tools are coming out next weekend if disconnecting the battery doesn’t solve the issue.
