All the Safari/Expedition talk has got me thinking about different stowage solutions, here's what I currently have.
Stowage01.jpg

I had both rear seats out but was always needing seating for three so I put one back in.

The two boxes on the left are mounted with the side seat bracket for quick release.

One has more tools and the other has recovery items in it.

There's a Tsunami air compressor on the otherside of the spare.

Stihl saw, Woodmans Pal, and Maxitool Attachments.

Tolietries, fire starter, and shower head for water can.

In the tough box I have a hammock-tent and extra clothes the white barrel is for food stuff (Black Bears are common around here and not afraid of people).

In the side panel stowage areas, I have a good first aid kit, jumper cables, flashlights, and a tarp.

not bad, i like how you got it all arranged

Is the FOODSTUFF, whatever that is, for the black bears or for you if you get bogged.
I usually carry an extra carton of beer.

Nice packing but way too much survival equipment and not enough food and beer

You need about 3 more ratchet straps to keep everything from flying around, but I like the setup.

Oh, I didn't realize it was bolted down! NICE!

Cool but is that a gas can I see in the back. I don't like the idea a petrol in the cabin.

I love your truck. But I think you need more protection on that beast.

My wife would tell me I don't need a chainsaw just driving around town...

But I think I do.

Nice setup.

Few questions

Hi Tiredolguyw/badassaxles,

I like your trail gear stuff and have a few questions reguarding it.

What is/are:

1. Two black boxes, left rear attached to third row seat brackets?

2. Axe tools, what am I looking at exactly and are these US mil surplus or what?

3. Wooden handled tool (saw maybe) on side of Tuffy Box?

4. What am I looking at in the black box right behind the drivers side headrest?

I really like the chain saw as I've really needed one in woods trails and never had one with me. What model Stihl is this?

One tip I found usefull on spare tire, is it can be easily mounted verticle straped to the left or right third row seat holder. Mark Brodis told me this tip, and I never would have believed how well it would hold. I thought I would need to put a pillow between the window and the tire for trail use or rough roads but with ratchet straps, it straps down so tight, you can't even wiggle it. Gives a lot more room in the back, and having it on the left rear, I don't find it in my line of needed sight, even when backing. Works great until I get a better rear bumper/tire holder combo.

Thanks for the pictures and info.

Toiletries, camp towel, homemade shower head, firestarter.

Model 028 (I think)

My tires are 38.5 Boggers and are about too tall to mount vertically, that would also raise the center of gravity (which is already pretty high)

I like the diverse equipment and stores you keep with you. I know the drawer setup is somewhat of a beaten horse but I am in the process of going down that road for my storage. My requirement was to fit nearly all of the everyday tooling, stores and recovery gear in enclosed boxes and still be able to throw stuff on top, mainly my tire, coolers etc. Something I changed while at HD was the height of the boxes. I wanted to have the option to sleep inside if needed. The plan then moved to having the height be nearly the same as the seats folded down. Here are a few shots of one of the rough boxes. Keep in mind there are two and will be setup to have a tire secured flat on top.

Once complete and carpeted I am adding seat track for removable tie-downs.
