Hey everyone, my 17 foot car trailer was stolen in the clemson area within the last couple weeks. Its just an old beat up trailer but I'd appreciate if you would keep an eye out. I am afraid it is long gone but it can't hurt.

Specs:
- Black
- homemade 17x8
- Diamond plate tracks, open center section
- Tandem axle
- Electric brakes
- Aluminum multispoke wheels
- Vermont Tag # AHL641
- VIN: VT306281

Identifying attributes:
- Rusty, kind of beat up fenders
- Aluminum multispoke wheels
- tongue jack missing a mounting bolt (one out of three) and crank handle
- One of the storage trays for the ramps is very bent.

I'll try to dig up a photo. I am pretty bummed, I have to go to clemson and file a police report tomorow.... Thanks.

That's a bummer, Ghen. I hate thieves. Hope it gets recovered. You'll have a lot of eyes up there looking for it.

Like the Capt. said, I hate a thief. Will keep a lookout around here.

Where did you have it parked in clemson Gehn? While in clemson drive to some of the tow lots, maybe it got towed for what ever assanine reason. I'll keep my eyes open.

i'll keep my eyes peeled....hope it turns up somewhere.

damn gehn that sucks.

sorry to hear about that, man.

i'm not a big fan of thieves myself (r.i.p. cruiser)

Whats the scoop Malph?

last month when i was flat-towing my cruiser and the last (well, almost the last, ha ha) of the parts that i have behind my parents house in fort mill back up to nashville, one of the tires blew out on the cruiser.

i was about 45 minutes east of knoxville on I40, and due to shear stupidity, all 5 of my spare wheels and tires were in nashville. i pulled the cruiser off the interstate and into a gas station parking lot in newport, tn.

went inside and asked the guy if i could leave the cruiser there until the morning when i could make it back with a spare since it was sunday afternoon and there were no tire places open. i was also right at halfway between nashville and charlotte, ha ha, so it would have been 7+ hours before i could make it back from nashville.

long story short, i get back there in the morning and the cruiser is gone, lots of hassle with the gas station people and the police/sheriff's dept and all i had was a lugnut from the wheel somebody took off when they slapped on another six lug, cut the lock on the towbar, and made off with the cruiser. oh...the gas station is open 24hrs and the cruiser was in plain sight.

no insurance on the cruiser since i pulled the engine last summer, not much the sherrif's dept could or would do about it being stolen, they pretty much just filed a report and told me to call the clerk the next day to get it faxed to me.

could have been worse, i've still got the engine, hood, windshield, and solid half doors from it...they did however make off with the only frame/VIN plate that i have a title for, disc brake front axle, saginaw powersteering setup, and the first car i bought...

the thing that sucks is i couldn't have sold what they stole for 1k, but to get all the wiring, interior, little bits and pieces, disc brake stuff, and power steering it would cost me quite a bit more than that to buy new...

all that being said, i hope that i can claim a stolen property deduction on my income taxes next year and get some of the money back...

but looking on the positive side of things, this did stop me from having 3 frames, 2.5 drivetrains, and 3 tubs in my driveway/backyard, so my landlord might not evict me now, ha ha.

oh well,

Damn thieves suck. Sorry to hear your story, Malph. Sounds fishy to me. I would look in the yards of the night clerk and his/her closest friends.

Yeah man I heard about that, I can't believe that. Where do you stand with the other bodies and components?

i've got enough stuff right now to keep me busy, 2 clean tubs, a set of fj62 axles, and my frame that i've boxed and got setup for the soa. now i just need some time to work...school and research are killin me right now. wednesday night was the first time in 3 weeks that i made it back home before 11, and i get to campus at 8

you gotten any work done on the frame in the garage?
