well today the exhaust fell off of my 75' FJ 40 and being a bit strapped for cash im opting to go with the old DIY job.

the muffler had come right out infront of the driverside rear tire but now that its gone i was wondering if any one has any pictures of how the pipes used to be routed stock

The head pipe is no longer available so save that baby particularly from the flange and down

Not having that flange cost me two months of down time. Any decent shop can bend up the pipe for you and then you can clamp and or weld them yourself

Exhausts are fairly easy to do at home. Napa has access to a variety of elbows. I believe the Y-pipe on mine is from a Chevelle, but I did everything from that back. I had the Y-pipe, but I think my total outlay was like $75 and it's done well. I think I'll be swapping out the race bullet fairly soon, though. It's made the thing sound like a straight-piped 454.
