Someone told me that the 3 spd yota shifter would work on a sm420. is this true? Also cant figure out how to remove to 3 spd shifter from the tranny. Help?

Not sure about the 420 swap but to get the shifter out you have to push down on the ball retainer at the base of the stick and rotate it I think counter clockwise then it will pop up. Then just take the shifter out. Keep in mind when you put it back align the shifter with the gear fork notches.
