Stereo cutting out when it sits in the sun.

I have a 2002 cruiser with navigation. I'm in Arizona and during the summer, when it is hot like the surface of the sun, the sound on the stereo stops working until the ac cools the car off. Any thoughts on repairs or which parts to replace? As always, any help is greatly appreciated!

It is overheating.
Move to Pluto.


You either need to install a heat sink or cooling fan over the amp.

Is there anything stuffed under your passenger seat that would block air flow to the amp?
