SOR sells one that is leather and good quality in Black, Brown and Tan colors. I have one on my 60 and it fits and feels great. You can probably buy one at your Toyota dealer as well...
I really like the thickness of the Land Rover Discovery’s steering wheel and was thinking about getting one of those cheap plastic covers and then doing a wheelskin over it to try and get a little more thickness. Anybody that has tried something similar know how much larger of a wheelskin cover you need?

When I installed mine (yikes, that was 6 yearsa go!), I used very carefully wrapped tennis racket grip to increase the thickness of the steering wheel. When I stitched the wheelskin (a LOT easier with the steering wheel off the truck), it was a *tight* fit, and I really like the way it came out, there's zero friction between the wheelskin and the steering wheel and there's some extra padding in there.

Wouldn't it be a bit easier to put on one of those cheap leather wraps under the wheelskin rather than tennis racket wrap? I stil see those things around. The ones with the plastic string that spirals around the leather for that cool 1970s sports car look.
40 from Wheelskins, 20 from SOR, should come out the same after shipping.
While it may not seem like tech, the Wheelskins wrap has made a lot more difference in driving enjoyment than a whole lot of "tech" mods. The steering wheel on the 40 is just too thin, and with the skin on it, the size is perfect. Now if people start debating the color of the Wheelskin, then things have gone too far and belong in the 100 series forum. If we discuss Leatherique applied to the Wheelskin, then we have gone much too far and the debate belongs in the 80 series section. Seriously, the Wheelskin is one of the most satisfying mods I have made to the 40-highly reccomended.
