hi all ,i would like to ask all you knowledgeable guys a question about the steering stabilizer on the 1989 2h diesel landcruiser .I have fitted a new drag link arm and also fitted a aftermarket stabilzer which unlike the original does not have a moveable head on either end [like tie rod ends ],my concern is because the stabilizer does not run exactly horizontal that there may well be undue wear on the part that attatches to the drag link because the bolt that goes thru the stabilizer doesnt go thru exactly straight .Thanks all

It is a bit hard to visualize what you are asking;
either way, I think that the steering stabilizer will twist around the center axis on it's shaft/piston if it is not horizontal and compress/extend as you steer. Should not affect your steering, just maybe shorter life of the stabilizer, maybe not.

Easier if you have photos to post.

My ome damper has fixed mounts on either end, it tweaks the bushings a little bit but they are still hanging on thus far. Cant say the same for my shock bushings, they dont like the rocks.

Thanks Agent ,i think you know exactly what i mean and that was my concern that it does tweak the bushing a bit especially at the drag link arm end .It will be interesting to see how long the aftermarket one lasts as opposed to the original .
