Hey Dudes,

If you're in need of a Steering Rack Replacement, this video will help you get the job done. I did hear there was an extensive write-up on this forum regarding this job, something like 50 pages of it. I actually haven't seen it myself, but have heard references and tips people shared from it. If someone has a link to that write-up, please share it, so I can post my video there to help people with the job. Some people prefer videos while others prefer write-ups. I don't think a detailed write-up could come anywhere close to being as informative as a detailed video, but I know of people who detest watching videos, which is ok. To each his own, I reckon.

Here's the video. I hope you guys like it. The audio is pretty bad at times because of the heavy wind we had that day, but it is what it is. You can still understand what I'm saying.

This is a GREAT video - thanks @Timmy65 for taking the time to put it together. I'm about to tackle this job on our 1998 100 series. Below are links to what seem to be the 2 common poly bushing options.

Seems like the consensus is to use poly for horseshoe bushing but OEM rubber for the other 2 bushings. I do wonder if it would be better to use poly for all the bushes for a built truck - 33s or 35s, bumper, winch, etc.

Option 1: SuperPro SPF2470K (currently $84)
Option 2: Whiteline W13210 (currently $59)
