Good morning guys, my steering rack finally bit the dust (98LX) . I was wondering where to order a new one and what other components I should be replacing while doing the rack replacement. Thanks for your help.

I haven’t done mine yet but I have the following parts for my 1999 LX470. I would also wait for Toyota Decatur to have a sale usually 20%-25% (sorry just realized you said rack bit the dust).
  • Steering Rack 44250-60050
  • Right Outer Tie Rod 45046-69195
  • Left Outer Tie Rod 45047-69100
  • Rubber D Housing 45517-60010
  • PS Reservoir 44360-60210
  • PS Pump 44320-60310
  • PS Pulley 44311-60090
  • New nuts, bolts, gaskets
Some go poly on the D housing and the other 2 bushings: SuperPro 100 Series Steering Rack Polyurethane Bushing Set - https://www.cruiserpatch.com/products/superpro-100-series-steering-rack-bushing-set

Here’s a good thread:

Make sure steering rack has the blue mark on it as it’s the correct rack for a 1998-2002.

Good luck!
