95 tacoma, 245k on it and now won't start. I've used it as a daily driver since 97. It turns over but won't fire. After a few attempts it smells like its flooded, I followed the owners manual on starting when flooded still won't start. I tried roll starting it and that didn't work either. The check engine light has been on for years (mass air flow sensor code). Usually it acts up in the summer when the engine is warm and the outside temperature is warm it has a hard time starting. It turns but won't fire, but this is the first time in the cold it hasn't started. Any ideas? Thanks!

The MAF has a lot to do with how much fuel is delivered to the engine. May want to start there and make sure you don't have any other codes.
Have you ever cleaned the hotwires in the maf?

(edit, you have the huge barrel MAF don't you? Junkyard time, I think a new OEM one is like $600)

not sure exactly? I recently took it to a shop to replace the clutch fan, water pump and flush the cooling system. I also told him about the MAF sensor and asked him to clean it. The check engine light was off for about a day. I would have preferred to do the work but currently do not have a garage nor the time. Once I get it back home I am going to pull the codes and see if there is some thing else. Thank goodness for ol' Frosty my trusty cruiser!
