starter contact replacements

I am looking to replace my stater contacts, i have a hdj80 and it is a 24 volt to the stater from jap. do i have to take the starter apart to measure the contaacts so i can order some or does anyone already know what size or part numbers to order to rebuild the thing. any help would be great.

Don't have the parts #, But I had mine (24V) rebuilt in Calgary at Amperage Technology, (403-250-2845). They might have the parts on hand.

I took the contacts for my 3B to Lordco and he had them in stock! The plunger he got the next day! Alot of that stuff crosses over to lots of vehicles.

got the parts it took only hour 1/2 to jack truck remove l/h wheel and rebuild starter and lower truck back to the ground. nice to rebuild it myself for 90$ and this place wanted 600 in edmonton to do the same thing f---ers. thanks for the phone number those guys were helpfull taked to them for 45 mins when i ordered the stuff.
