Yes, I searched and have been reading for about a week straight. There's a lot of great info on this board!! A little background.....my '84 FJ60 (formerly freightdog's) has a 3" OME suspension lift and a 1" body lift. The 33's fit well, but I want a little more lift and improve the ride off-road. 'Clifford' has Rancho 5K's up front and 9K's in the rear. At this time, I want to keep it SUA, but do a SR and either add-a-leaf or install extended shackles in the rear.

First, has anyone used this kit from MAF?? Any reviews?
http://www.man-a-fre.com/parts_accessories/shacklereversalkits_fj5560.htm I'm gonna think about this some more and possibly fab up my own....

Second, any input on add-a-leaf vs. extended shackles on a DD that gets moderate off-roading?

Third, the SR should give about 1.5" in the front (correct?), so what size shackle should I put in the rear? Or add-a-leaf?

Thanks!

i just sprung over my cruiser with a shackle reverse and love it. when i bought it the PO had put add a leafs on all four corners. I dont mind the add's in the back but they were way to choppy for the fronts. I highly recomend the shackle reversal, it did wonders and added a little heigt. i created a thread awhile back titled "facelift", i have since played with the leaf packs a little and balanced out the lift front to back. ill post some currrent pictures of the new stance._Dylan

Are these the pics you're referring to? https://forum.ih8mud.com/showpost.php?p=774644&postcount=12
If so, that's too much lift for what I want out of my 60. Let's see the new pics.

My 40 is SOA/SR and what a difference that made. Anyone got pics of a 60 w/SR SUA?

I have the old one ( this that you see in the web site is a new version with greasable pins ) in my HJ-60 for severak years .. with 0 problems and much smiles .. in my case is a good choice ..
