So I purchased this from a really good friend of mine, “Squid, you should never sell a friend a car, but in this case, I feel solid about it.”

Rock River Green, Standard UZJ 100, gray interior.. it had 178k on it when I stole it a few months ago. Has recently (mileage wise) had these items taken care of by Duggy here in Houston. Front Diff, Steering rack, CVs, timing belt and starter, water pump, wheel bearings. It came with some SCS F5s and some nice slee sliders.

It has it’s share of dents and dings, but not a lick of body rust, and very mild undercarriage rust.

Got a pile of parts in:

Did the 2.5” Eibach kit from Slee.. drop diff crossmember, Eibach shocks, OME 2860s OME torsion bars. Then added BFG KO3s 285/75-16s.

I tend to do all of my own wrenching, would say 98%. I enjoy working on vehicles, boats…. stuff i don’t have to have on Monday.

very very nice! great start!
Thanks Hokie.

I’ve done a bit of ‘wheeling’ as everyone likes to say, with other vehicles, but these days i set my trucks up for beach/overlandish duty. Fishing, surfing, paddleboarding, kayaking, boat towing, camper towing, etc. I like to make the PINS run here in Texas when i have the time.

My Tundra is about the best beach vehicle I’ve ever owned. Compressed air system, fridge, big tank, mild lift, big AT tires, heavy duty shell, drawers, lights, etc. I hope to make his little brother as capable.

I plan to take one of these to Big Bend next few months, and I have a trip to VA in December.

This one is sure a lot easier in town.

I know we're big nerds, but damn our trucks just look so cool. My neighbors must think I'm a psycho because I'll just stand there and look at my truck like all the time.
I feel the same way. ‘There are many like it, but this one is mine!’

I also have to turn back to look at it after i park it somewhere.. growing to love this machine.

Very nice set up. And thanks for posting all of your lists, it gave me some ideas and reminders of what to check for and what I want.
