I recently bough a GX470, and it has 185,000 miles. I am experiencing a relatively loud squeaking noise coming from the front driver wheel well, and it is pretty bad. Like breaking people's necks bad. I have been to 2 different places, and they both mentioned upper ball joints. I have replaced both the upper ball joints, and the whole lower control arms (since the ball joints are known to fail with age), and it hasn't stopped. The first place that I went suggested that it was likely worn body mounts, and considering the age and mileage of the vehicle, it seems like that would be something that would need to be done anyways. I am just wondering if anyone has experience with anything like this, and I would be greatful for any suggestions. I will try to get a video of the sound and post it under this.

Does it squeak with suspension movement? Body mount would be very short squeaks and you could likely cause it without even driving by pushing on the car when it's parked. If you are heavy enough to compress the suspension, see if you can cause it to squeak by getting the suspension moving. If the squeak is kinda long with the suspension movement, it's not the body. Could be a shock or the suspension bushings.

It is a quick squeak, and it even happens when I shut the door lol. I am pretty positive that it is body mounts now.
