Getting a squeak from the rear from going over bumps.
it started randomly.
i've checked sway bar endlinks and they appear fine. not loose.
tightened the rear shock top nut a little more (tough dog)
sprayed some silicone around there... didn't take the rear shock out to get silicone spray in between the bushings
not sure what else to check at this point.

I'm not able to replicate the sound by jumping on the sliders and rear bumper. Nor lifting the rear by the bumper. Nor lowering from a floor jack really fast.
It does not sound like the same squeak that was happening before with the rear drums. I fixed that sound before.

could it be a faulty shock? out of ideas here. any suggestions?

Did not check that... If it's stock could it be as bushings?
In addition to sway bar end links and top of the shocks, you have lower shock bushings, sway bar bushings, upper and lower control arm bushings, and panhard bar bushings. If any of those squishy bits are aftermarket PU, that would be my first guess.

No aftermarket pu back there. Only non OEM part in the rear suspension is extended away bar links from trail tailor and the tough dog shocks. The noise started a few months after putting in the tough dogs. I guess the only thing I can think of next is taking it the rear shock and seeing if the bushings up top got squished funny somehow... Literally the worst part to work on this truck! Lol

I'm not sure if the pan hard would make noise, but it does move. Control arms are the only other large moving parts back there. Also chassis mounts when flexing. Other than that, it's an interesting issue. I like to spray bushings thoroughly with 50/50 water and dish soap one at a time and then drive a bit to ID the problem.

You said you checked the sway bar endlinks but not the bushings holding it to the axle. I would take a look at those as well.

I would remove the sway bar and then go on another test drive.

I've got the metal / mouse squeak noise. Pull the e-brake a bit and see if it goes away.

Bard door creaking is usually suspension. Metal chirp / squeaking is usually not.

My squeak went away when I did the rear lower control arms and panhard bar. Also significantly improved ride quality.

I didn't have a squeak, but I second the ride quality improvement. After 300k+ miles the bushings were pretty shot, and it wiggled quite a bit going over bumps.
